  • Construction project lead for Body Weld Equipment installations, relocations, and demolitions at Client's plants.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Work closely with equipment project leaders to determine construction requirements.
  • Organize, plan, and prioritize work with multiple contractors to maintain safety, quality, schedule and budget.
  • Create project estimates, scopes, bid packages, and schedules. Logically arrange bid packages to optimize kpi achievement (safety, cost, schedule).
  • Coordinate construction work with other ongoing activities. Represent construction in work planning meetings.
  • Confirm contractor safe work practices by reviewing Job Safety Analyses and the work being performed, ensure compliance with Client Construction Safety Requirements.
  • Inspect installations for adherence to the Body Weld Installation Manual.
  • Evaluate Construction Contractor performance on Safety, Quality, Productivity, Cost and Environmental.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 10-15 years' experience in industrial construction and equipment installation, automotive preferred.
  • Experience managing safety for construction work.
  • Skills required: Problem solving, time management, technical communication.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office software.
  • Ability to work weekends, holidays, and off shifts as typical work is conducted on non- production times.
ADDITIONAL DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Background in an industrial construction trade (millwright/ironworker, electrician, pipefitter).
  • Experience overseeing multiple trades.
  • Estimating experience.
  • Knowledge of ICI agreements, experience with unionized trades.
  • AutoCAD experience.
