A licensed Texas attorney with 3-5 years of experience focusing on patent litigation performed in a mid to large law firm setting.


Job Description:

Our client has an exciting opportunity for an IP Litigation Associate with a minimum of 3 years patent litigation experience to join their IP Litigation Practice in their Austin, Texas office. Our client offers exciting and challenging work in a thriving and collaborative team.


Responsibilities:

  • Provide thorough factual and legal research and analysis in pleadings, memoranda, and other written documents.
  • Draft pleadings and other case documents.
  • Attend hearings.
  • Manage matters from commencement to final resolution.
  • Competently and professionally communicate with clients and supervising attorneys.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and to meet deadlines.
  • Strong organization and matter management skills.
  • Ability to work professionally and effectively with Clients, Partners, Associate and Support Staff.
  • Ability to work effectively with others as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with and ability to prepare basic and complex litigation documents.



Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Bar in Texas in good standing.
  • 3 years of experience in patent litigation with a mid-size or large law firm.
  • Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work well under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in legal research tools and software.
