Job Description

You will oversee the service and maintenance activities for commercial roofing systems, as well as coordinate and supervise retail reroofing projects at various locations. Your expertise in roofing techniques, project management, and team leadership will contribute to the success and reputation of our company.

Responsibilities

  1. Service and Maintenance Coordination:

  • Coordinate and schedule service and maintenance activities for commercial roofing systems, ensuring timely completion.

  • Oversee inspections, repairs, and maintenance tasks, ensuring adherence to quality standards and safety regulations.

  • Collaborate with the Service Administrator to maintain accurate documentation of service activities.

  1. Roofing Inspections and Assessments:

  • Conduct thorough inspections of commercial roofing systems to identify and assess any issues or areas of concern.

  • Document findings and prepare detailed reports outlining the condition of the roof and recommended repair or maintenance actions.

  • Utilize appropriate tools and equipment to perform inspections, including thermal imaging devices, moisture meters, and visual assessments.

  1. Roofing Repairs and Maintenance:

  • Perform repairs and maintenance on various types of commercial roofing systems, including flat roofs, metal roofs, and shingle roofs.

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot roofing issues, such as leaks, punctures, and damaged flashing.

  • Replace or repair damaged roofing materials, including membranes, shingles, insulation, and flashings.

  1. Retail Reroofing Project Management:

  • Oversee and coordinate all aspects of retail reroofing projects at various locations.

  • Collaborate with project managers and estimators to review project plans, specifications, and schedules.

  • Develop detailed project execution plans, including resource allocation, material procurement, and subcontractor coordination.

  1. Quality Assurance and Compliance:

  • Implement and enforce quality control measures to ensure that service and maintenance activities and reroofing projects meet the highest standards.

  • Conduct regular site inspections to assess workmanship, safety practices, and quality control measures.

  • Ensure compliance with project specifications, building codes, safety regulations, and industry best practices.

  1. Client Communication and Relationship Management:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients during service and maintenance activities and reroofing projects.

  • Address client inquiries, concerns, and project-related issues promptly and effectively.

  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring client satisfaction.

  1. Budget and Cost Control:

  • Monitor project costs and expenses, identifying opportunities for cost savings and efficiencies.

  • Collaborate with the project management team to develop and manage project budgets.

  • Review and approve project-related invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with contractual obligations.

  1. Additional Responsibilities:

  • Handle additional responsibilities and projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial roofing, with a focus on service and maintenance, repairs, and retail reroofing projects.

  • Extensive knowledge of commercial roofing systems, materials, repair techniques, and project management.

  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to effectively lead and motivate teams.

  • Team player attitude is a must.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with clients, team members, and stakeholders.

  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

  • Ability to travel extensively and work on project sites located throughout the region.

  • Ability to climb a 40-foot ladder and lift heavy objects.

  • OSHA certification or willingness to complete certification.
