This is an in-office position and requires an active Property and Casualty license for the state of Illinois. Please only apply if you can make the commute to our North Riverside location.
If you have a talent for customer care and understand the needs and motivations of people, we want you on our team As our Customer Service Representative, you’ll work to inspire customer loyalty and significantly enhance the overall State Farm Insurance customer experience.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Establish customer relationships and follow up with customers, as needed.
- Provide prompt, accurate, and friendly customer service. Service can include responding to inquiries regarding insurance availability, eligibility, coverages, policy changes, transfers, claim submissions, and billing clarification.
- Use a customer-focused, needs-based review process to educate customers about insurance options.
- Provide excellent customer service and focus on client retention.

Requirements
- Insurance experience preferred
- State Farm Agent Team Member experience a plus
- Motivated and quick to pick up/learn new computer systems
- Excellent communication skills - written, verbal and listening
- Self-motivated
- Detail oriented
- Proactive in problem solving
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to assess customer needs and conduct effective interviews
- Ability to effectively relate to a customer
- State of Illinois Property & Casualty insurance license
- State of Illinois Life & Health insurance license
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus but not required
This position is with a State Farm independent contractor agent, not with State Farm Insurance Companies. Employees of State Farm agents must be able to successfully complete any applicable licensing requirements and training programs. State Farm agents are independent contractors who hire their own employees. State Farm agents’ employees are not employees of State Farm.
