Key Responsibilities:
- Data submission: Submitting medical claims to insurance companies with meticulous attention to detail.
- Claim processing: Overseeing all claims processing activities in our clearinghouse.
- AR reporting: Providing accurate and timely AR reports to management.
- Insurance updates: Adding new insurance payers to our system and maintaining up-to-date information.
- Claim follow-up: Aggressively pursuing unpaid claims with insurance companies.
- Team support: Assisting team members with inquiries and providing guidance.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in medical billing.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and coding (CPT, ICD-10).
- Proficiency in using medical billing software.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
