Job DescriptionJob Description

Position Summary:

The Saw Operator will oversee various saws within the Medical Comfort Specialists production floor. The Saw Operator ensures the safe operation of vertical band saws, table saws, CNC saws and hand saws. The Saw Operator will cut stock to correct length and other measurements.


Education and Knowledge:

  • Ability to read and follow written and verbal directions in English.
  • A high school diploma is preferred but not required.
  • Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints.
  • Ability to read tape measures.

Experience/Skills and Competencies:

  • Possess a general understanding of manufacturing processes.
  • Willingness to work flexible and overtime hours as required.
  • Great attention to detail with a goal-driven attitude.
  • Ability to work under pressure.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Check machinery on a daily basis to guarantee functionality.
  • Clean up workspace at the end of every workday.
  • Maintain a clean work area through the day.
  • Keep floor clear of debris.
  • Other duties as assigned by a manager or supervisor.

Other:

  • Full-time; non-exempt position
  • General working hours are from 6:00am – 2:30pm M-F but may change with prior notice.
  • Overtime may be requested as necessary.
