Overview of Position: To coordinate and guide all efforts to define, understand, assess, foster, and cultivate equity among the CAP’s students, faculty, families, and staff. This position will serve to enhance educational programs to promote engagement, equity, and culturally sustaining practices into every CAP function. This position will also further develop programs, services, and initiatives designed to ensure the involvement of CAP families and the community stakeholders.


Essential Responsibilities:

  • Plan, coordinate, and execute equity and inclusion, educational activities and events for parents of all ethnicities and backgrounds, virtually and in-person;

  • Represent CAP at student and faculty fairs and community events;

  • Identify, develop, and foster productive partnerships that facilitate positive family and community relationships;

  • Enhance CAP’s social media presence by implementing strategies to increase awareness and engagement;

  • Manage day-to-day activities across multiple platforms (Facebook, Instagram, CAP Website);

  • Design and curate engaging content for posts, CAP website recent news, CAP events schoolwide, brochures, and flyers.

  • Perform needs assessments and assist with the evaluation of the effectiveness of the family engagement program through surveys;

  • Coordinate with Elementary School and High School divisions to support and help promote CAP events;

  • Assist parents with volunteer procedures, including required background checks.


Demonstrated ability to:

  • Complete assignments in a timely manner and work independently as well as part of a team;

  • Knowledge of Canva and Google Suite

  • Work flexible hours including evenings and weekends, as initiative’s outreach events dictate;

  • Have reliable transportation as position requires frequent local travel;

  • Understand and respect the diversity of families’ economics, linguistic, and cultural backgrounds;

  • Maintain discretion regarding confidential matters;

  • Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing;

  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships;

  • Ability to operate a camera for marketing purposes;

  • Ability to show enthusiasm and professionalism during all CAP events.

  • “At-home” sporting events


Minimum Requirement:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university;

  • 4-years of related work experience;

  • Bilingual in Spanish is preferred;

  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
