Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Refrigeration Technician Lead to join our team and make a significant impact in a dynamic work environment. As a Refrigeration Technician Lead, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and troubleshooting refrigeration systems to ensure smooth operations. You’ll work closely with your team to provide maintenance support and effectively communicate the Supervisor's instructions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist the Supervisor in coordinating daily responsibilities and ensuring effective communication with team members.
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance and emergency repairs on mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to equipment failures.
  • Minimize downtime and ensure the safe and effective operation of equipment.
  • Interact with plant personnel to achieve plant and individual goals.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum 6 months of mechanic or refrigeration experience or a graduate of an industrial maintenance training program.
  • Preferred: PSM Experience, refrigeration experience, and knowledge of ammonia refrigeration systems.
  • Basic computer skills for logging information and using the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Effective communication skills and basic math skills.
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 75 lbs. occasionally; lift 20 lbs. frequently.
  • Ability to stand on a hard surface for up to 12 hours, work in confined and tall spaces, and handle various physical tasks.
  • Ability to work in varying temperatures from -25 to over 100 degrees.
  • Willing to work overtime and weekends, and furnish your own tools.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints, manuals, and work orders.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

  • Applicants will be considered for Refrigeration Maintenance level openings, with leveling determined during the interview process.
  • Candidates with previous employment at the client will have a 90-day rehire waiting period and are limited to 3 times of employment.
