Purpose of the role:

To provide a safe and hospitable environment for all customers and staff.

Responsibilities:

  • To understand and respond to all guest needs and requests in a timely and professional manner, deferring to the General Manager or Lead Bartender, when necessary, to ensure customer safety and customer satisfaction.
  • To extend a courteous, friendly and professional greeting to guests as they arrive, and to thank them as they depart.
  • To ensure all guest ID’s are checked at the door before entering premises.
  • To make the General Manager or Lead Bartender aware of all guest comments and complaints.
  • To enforce, promote and comply with all policies and procedures of PlumpJack.
  • Patrol bar property, including parklet, noting any problem areas or unusual activity.
  • To note safety hazards and takes appropriate remedial action.
  • To immediately report all suspicious occurrences and hazardous conditions and avoid injury to self and others.
  • To call police or fire department in cases of emergency, such as fire or presence of unauthorized persons.
  • To assist in preventing and quickly deescalating fights, escorting or removing trespassers or guests in violation of property policies and protocol, and contacting law enforcement when needed.
  • Responsible for maintaining and protecting assigned security equipment from damage.
  • To represent Wildhawk Bar in a positive and professional manner.
  • To maintain the cleanliness and safety of work areas at all times.
  • To attend all mandatory meetings as directed.
  • Perform other tasks, including cross training, as directed.
  • Adhere to the attendance and punctuality policy as outlined in the PlumpJack Employee Handbook. Report to work as scheduled and be prepared to start work. Remain at work for the entire work shift, except for meal and rest periods or when required to leave on authorized PlumpJack business.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Previous security experience required.
  • English fluency required.
  • Must possess current California Guard Card at time of hire.
  • Must be familiar with federal, state and local liquor laws.
  • Basic knowledge of foods, service standards and procedures.
  • Detail oriented, organized, and efficient. Learns quickly.
  • Safety-minded. High quality standards of production and service.
  • Diplomatic and calm with strong verbal communication skills.
  • Courteous, friendly, and professional manner.
  • Good team player. Customer service focus. Able to work productively with little supervision. Trustworthy and reliable.

Working Conditions:

Moves between in and outdoor environments, throughout shift. Indoor bar area is adequately lighted. Exposed to outside conditions while patrolling around the bar property. The noise level in the work environment can be loud. Work areas may be crowded and noisy. Possible exposure to blood-borne pathogens.

Physical Demands:

Stands and walks moderate distances throughout shift. Shifts may be scheduled up to 8 hours. Ability to bend, stoop, reach, push, pull, lift and grasp to perform routine tasks. Ability to move objects weighing up to 50lbs over moderate distances. Frequent use of stairs, daily. Must be able to work under pressure and remain calm.


REQUIRED HOURS:

• Must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays
