What is Soccer Shots?
Soccer Shots is an engaging children's soccer program for children ages 2-8 with a focus on character development. Our caring team positively impacts children's lives on and off the field through best-in-class coaching, curriculum, and communication. Soccer Shots is a franchise system that runs programs all over the nation and our Twin Cities MN franchise has expanded to Tacoma WA. Soccer Shots is the childrens soccer experience, using an acclaimed recreational curriculum and great coaches. Through the beautiful game, we aim to develop character, motor skills, and teamwork. Our team believes children are invaluable and our goal is simple: leave a lasting, positive impact on every child we serve.

We are looking for a motivated individual who is passionate about our mission and dedicated to transferring our companys why to the organization. The Program Director is responsible for managing the projects necessary for running an outstanding Soccer Shots program and works in every area of the organization. They follow established plans and strategies to strengthen the current business while expanding both the customer base and coach bench. They are responsible for leading, managing and holding staff accountable through 1:1 training, evaluating, and developing. This person is highly energized by inspiring and motivating others. They are organized, detailed, caring, positive, and committed to helping people reach their potential.


The following is a list of the Program Director responsibilities:
  • Build a team of coordinators and coaches through hiring, onboarding, and managing.
  • Execute season planning, coach scheduling and in-season responsibilities.
  • Collaborate with other franchise operators across the nation and with Tacomas sister branch in the Twin Cities MN.
  • Enforce program quality, keeping staff accountable to program and brand standards.
  • Oversee all program communications, ensuring communications are accurate and timely.
  • Manage the programs budget including incoming and outgoing invoices.
  • Plan and execute coach meetings, outings, and events to build team culture.
  • Seek partnership opportunities with childcare centers, schools, public park locations, soccer club partnerships, and corporate sponsors.
  • Oversee and perform seasonal marketing promotions via email, paper, and social media to meet season and annual enrollment goals.
  • Represent Soccer Shots at industry events, recruiting tables, conferences, Family Fun Fests, etc.
  • Visit program partners to build relationships and obtain feedback on our program.
  • Oversee and maintain franchise website, online presence, and reputation.
  • Trouble shoot season problems that arise making clear decisions and managing execution.
  • Coach as needed.

Key Performance Measures
  • Prompt, reliable, and professional communication. Responds immediately to coaches, customers (parents, program partners), supervisor, and other support staff within 24 hours.
  • Meets weekly, seasonal, and annual timelines and deadlines. Develops and follows systems to stay organized, keep good records, and be efficient with time.
  • Meets seasonal performance goals. Goes above and beyond expectations to promote the Soccer Shots brand.
  • Adheres to all company policies and represents Soccer Shots with professionalism and integrity.

  • Able to manage, engage and interact with up to ten 2-8 year-olds, and has experience doing so.

Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree
Previous experience with the sport of soccer

Work Schedule
The expected working hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, and Saturdays as needed. Some evenings periodically may be required to maintain program quality.

Work Location
This position is out in the field coaching, training and maintaining the quality of our program. The Soccer Shots local office is located in Tacoma Washington.

Classification
This is a full-time, salaried, non-exempt position. Minimum of 40 hours a week is required, with additional hours sometimes needed to meet deadlines and goals.

Physical/work environment requirements:
Position will have the need to be exposed to an inside/outside sports environment. Work requires the ability to run, stop, stoop, bend (a physical, exercise type regimen) in a minimum of 40-minute increments per session. Moderate gymnasium like noises are associated with this position.
Work requires ability to sit, stand and walk throughout an extended work day (8 10 hours); position requires use of fingers, hands and arms on a consistent basis for keyboarding and phone work; position may need to lift up to 50 pounds on occasion; excellent vision skills (with or without correction) are required. The standard office environment has moderate noise levels associated with computer equipment, customers, and phone conversations.
