Job DescriptionJob DescriptionWe are searching for a host/hostess with outstanding customer service skills—someone who is a real people person. You possess a positive, can-do attitude and enjoy working with others in a fast-paced team environment. You should enjoy welcoming guests to our establishment and guiding them to an appropriate table, ensuring that it is cleared, and clean. Make sure there are enough seats for everyone. You’ll need a friendly, courteous manner to answer phone calls and make accurate reservations for guests. You will also need to multitask efficiently, and answer menu questions if the waitstaff is unavailable. $16 HR

Responsibilities:
  • Acknowledge all customers warmly immediately upon arrival to ensure their first impression of the restaurant is positive
  • Direct customers to their seats, ensuring tables are set properly with enough tableware for each diner, water glasses are filled, and menus are sanitized
  • Respond to questions about the menu and memorize the daily specials whenever needed
  • Check the dining room constantly for cleanliness and organization and restock condiments on the table as necessary
  • Make reservations, plan out the seating chart, and troubleshoot customer phone inquiries
Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of the food and beverage industry and/or hospitality industry is appreciated but not a requirement
  • Responsible for communicating politely with customers, skilled at organizing, and have the ability to troubleshoot customer requests or issues quickly, and efficiently
  • This role requires a high school diploma or equivalent GED and a good command of the English language
  • Must be able to handle a fast-paced atmosphere with periods of standing on feet for an extended length of time
