The Goddard School of Clinton is looking for passionate Lead Teachers to join our team in our Infant classroom.

As a Lead Teacher, you will take the helm in orchestrating the daily operations of your classroom, meticulously planning and delivering enriching educational and recreational activities. Your role is pivotal in fostering a safe, nurturing, and inspiring environment for our children. Key Responsibilities:


  • Develop and Implement: Craft and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lesson plans that align with The Goddard School curriculum.
  • Nurturing Environment: Foster a safe and inclusive space where infants can explore, learn, and grow.
  • Family Communication: Build and maintain positive relationships with families, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Classroom Leadership: Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and support staff in the infant classroom.
  • Development Tracking: Keep detailed records of each child's development and progress, conducting assessments to guide individualized learning.
  • Professional Growth: Engage in ongoing professional development to stay updated on early childhood education best practices.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of an Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education or relevant field OR CDA Credential (or willingness to obtain, with our support)
  • At least 2 years of experience working with infants in a licensed early childhood setting
  • Strong understanding of infant development and age-appropriate activities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Collaborative spirit with the ability to work in a diverse team environment
  • Meet state-specific education, certification, and background check requirements
