Trystar’s team members are our most important asset, we are in search of a Senior Human Resources Generalist which will be based in our state-of-the-art headquarters in Faribault, MN. This position plays a critical role in achieving our strategic objectives. This position will report to the Operations HR Manager. This role is responsible supporting the implementation and evaluation of employee programs, recommending improvements for employee engagement and relations, and making sure that policies in each department align with our company goals. The Senior Human Resources Generalist will be able to support activities to reduce employee turnover and to attract top talent to fill open positions.

- Assist the Operations HR Manager in communicating and applying company policies and procedures & promote a deeper understanding within Trystar.
- Manage the full life cycle of recruiting activities including sourcing and screening applicants, maintaining recruiting systems, drafting offer letters, orientation, onboarding, and providing follow-through with candidates.
- Assist managers with the performance evaluation process and new hire follow-up meetings
- Help manage and update job descriptions for the site including classifying positions as needed
- Facilitate the annual performance review and merit increase cycle.
- Assist with discipline procedures and the termination process to ensure all employees are treated fairly.
- Develop and organize staff training sessions, workshops, and other activities as needed
- Facilitate new employee on-boarding activities: answer employee questions and provide support to mangers when integrating new hires into the organization.
- Become familiar with benefit program details and effectively respond to any benefits related concerns.
- Support in successfully maintaining employee electronic records (i.e., new hire, termination, change of status).
- Work with site operations leadership to train on company policies and procedures to ensure compliance.
- Handle employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters. Address employee relations issues and conduct investigations as needed.
- Facilitate employee engagement initiatives to elevate the working experience of Trystar team members.
- Provide support to enterprise HR initiatives including other Trystar sites as needed.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in Human Resources.
- 3 years of experience in a manufacturing and/or operations environment.
- Exhibit high level of professional conduct, integrity, and accountability.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and HR Management Systems.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Master’s in Human Resources, MBA (HR Track), Master’s in Industrial and Labor Relations.
- Strong understanding of local, state, and federal employment laws.
- Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with an ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining close attention to detail.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and HR Management Systems.
- Bilingual (English & Spanish).
