Counselor for Veterans

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Person-Centered Counselor to join our team at the Minnesota River Area Agency on Aging Inc. As a vital member of our team, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of Veterans and their families.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide person-centered support and guidance to Veterans in need
• Assist Veterans in navigating challenging situations while emphasizing their individual needs and preferences
• Work from the comfort of your own home, setting your schedule and appointments according to your preferences
• Occasional travel (1-2 days per week, rarely overnight) to connect with clients in person

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in a human services-related field
• Experience working with older adults, caregivers, and service providers
• Expertise in areas such as Medicare, public assistance programs, long-term care planning, and community resources
• Valid driver's license, proof of insurance, and a reliable car for occasional travel
