Job Duties/Responsibilities:

Maintenance Supervision:

• Oversee the daily operations of the maintenance team, ensuring that equipment and facilities are kept in optimal working condition.

• Develop and implement preventive maintenance strategies to reduce downtime and extend equipment lifespan.

• Schedule and delegate maintenance tasks, ensuring timely completion and adherence to quality standards.

• Collaborate with other departments to prioritize maintenance needs and address urgent repair requests promptly.

• Monitor team performance, providing necessary training, guidance, and performance evaluations.

• Manage the maintenance budget, ensuring efficient use of resources and cost control.

• Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment repairs, and parts inventory.

Safety Coordination:

• Develop and enforce safety policies and procedures in line with local, state, and federal regulations.

• Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure adherence to safety standards.

• Lead safety training programs, including new hire orientations, ongoing training, and emergency response drills.

• Investigate workplace accidents and incidents, implementing corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.

• Keep up-to-date safety records, including incident reports, training logs, and compliance documentation.

• Act as the primary contact for safety-related issues, including communication with regulatory agencies and addressing safety inquiries.

• Foster a culture of safety within the organization, promoting employee engagement and ownership of safety practices.

• Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Food Safety Standards, and related operational procedures.

• Take on additional projects and duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Required Education, Skills, and Experience

Education:

• High School Diploma or GED required.

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in a related field (e.g., Industrial Maintenance, Engineering, Occupational Health, Safety Management) preferred.

Experience:

• Maintenance Supervision: Experience managing a maintenance team in industrial or manufacturing settings, including planning, coordination, and ensuring equipment readiness.

• Safety Coordination: 3+ years in safety management, with a background in developing and implementing safety programs, conducting audits, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

• Project Management: Proven ability to manage maintenance projects from planning to execution.

• Vendor and Contractor Management: Experience in sourcing, negotiating, and managing third-party services.

Skills:

• Technical Proficiency: Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing systems, HVAC, and industrial machinery. Ability to read blueprints and use CMMS.

• Leadership and Team Management: Effective management, mentoring, and delegation skills.

• Safety Expertise: In-depth understanding of OSHA standards, safety audits, risk assessments, and emergency response planning.

• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills for diagnosing and resolving issues under pressure.

• Communication: Excellent verbal and written skills for interacting with teams and presenting reports.

• Organizational Skills: Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects efficiently, with strong attention to detail.

• Interpersonal Skills: Collaborative approach with strong negotiation abilities.

Work Environment/Physical Demands:

• Includes warehouse and office settings.

• Ability to stand, sit, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs.
