Logistics Support Specialist

We are hiring a Logistics Support Specialist for one of our clients in Maricopa County, AZ.
Job Description:
- The Public Health Logistics Support Specialist is responsible for aiding the Public Health in developing and implementing new programs, procedures, and training to enhance efficiency and resource accountability.
- This includes working with department staff to integrate mobile assets, deployable, and medical supplies into new resource management systems and developing the infrastructure and training to support these activities.
- The specialist must be capable of project coordination from start to finish with limited assistance and have knowledge and experience in documenting and coordinating vehicle maintenance. Report to Phoenix, AZ daily.
- May travel to other locations with team members for inventory purposes.
- Teleworking is not authorized.
- Inventory is performed randomly and would not exceed two weeks in the "heavy" inventory months.
Skills Required:
- Ability to conduct project coordination from start to finish with limited assistance.
- Knowledge and experience in documenting and coordinating vehicle maintenance.
- Skills in maintaining detailed records for all vehicle-related service events.
- Ability to be trained in OnBase software for purchasing and inventory management.
- Ability to participate in and assist with emergency response activities.
- Understanding of inventory.
Skills Preferred:
- Experience in coordinating the use of equipment among various programs and offices.
- Proficiency in writing operational procedures.
- Experience in developing and delivering training in-person, online, and in a telework environment.
- Previous experience working with inventory management.
Experience Required:
- A minimum of two (2) years of combined experience in vehicle and equipment maintenance, event coordination, or inventory management
Experience Preferred:
- Experience with coordinating the use of equipment among several programs and offices.
- Experience with overseeing the maintenance of vehicles and knowledge of mobile health units/recreational vehicles
Education Required:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Three (3) years of responsible clerical and/or administrative experience
Education Preferred:
- An Associate's degree or additional relevant experience
Work Hours:
- 7:00am to 3:30pm
Additional Information:
- Must possess or have the ability to obtain a valid Arizona driver's license by the time of hire.
- Immunization requirements must be met within one month of hire for various vaccine-preventable illnesses.
- Driving using a personal vehicle will be required for job duties.
- Mileage expenses will be reimbursed, with the rate defined by the Finance Department at Maricopa County.
- Driving about 4-6 times per month.
