We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a Surgical Dental Assistant in the picturesque Lakewood Ranch, Florida area.

We are a premier specialty dental practice committed to delivering high-quality surgical and periodontal care to our patients. Located in the vibrant community of Lakewood Ranch, we provide a supportive and collaborative environment where team members can thrive and grow professionally. What You Will Do:

  • Assisting the periodontist during surgical procedures, including extractions, implant placements, and periodontal surgeries.
  • Preparing treatment rooms and ensuring all necessary instruments and equipment are sterilized and ready to use.
  • Taking digital x-rays and intraoral photos as needed for treatment planning.
  • Providing chairside assistance to the periodontist during procedures, anticipating their needs and ensuring a smooth workflow.
  • Training and mentoring other dental assistants in surgical techniques and best practices.
  • Educating patients on proper post-operative care instructions and oral hygiene techniques.
  • Maintaining accurate patient records and treatment notes.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a dental assistant, with a strong background in surgical and periodontal procedures.
  • Proficiency in digital radiography and dental software.
  • Leadership skills with the ability to effectively train and mentor team members.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Certification in dental assisting, preferred.
