Job Description: As a Cashier/Team Member at Global Partners, you will play a dual role, combining cashier duties with general team support. You will be responsible for processing transactions, assisting customers, and contributing to the overall success of the store through various operational tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

Cashiering Duties:

  • Greet customers warmly and provide prompt, friendly service.
  • Accurately process customer transactions, including cash, credit, and debit payments.
  • Handle returns, exchanges, and refunds in accordance with company policies.
  • Maintain a balanced cash drawer, reporting any discrepancies to management.

Customer Service:

  • Assist customers with inquiries regarding products, promotions, and store information.
  • Resolve customer issues with professionalism, ensuring a satisfactory outcome.
  • Inform customers about ongoing sales, discounts, and loyalty programs.

Team Support:

  • Help maintain the cleanliness and organization of the store, including stocking shelves and arranging displays.
  • Assist with inventory counts and replenishing stock as needed.
  • Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure smooth store operations.

Customer Engagement:

  • Build positive relationships with customers to foster loyalty and repeat business.
  • Gather and relay customer feedback to help improve store offerings and service quality.
  • Contribute to a welcoming and professional atmosphere within the store.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in cashiering, retail, or customer service is preferred but not required.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-focused attitude.
  • Ability to handle transactions accurately and efficiently.
  • Basic math skills and experience with cash handling.
  • A positive attitude with a commitment to providing excellent service.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications in retail or customer service are a plus.
