We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Adolescent Prevention Counselor to join our team. The ideal candidate would have experience working with adolescents in a counseling or educational setting and will be responsible for implementing prevention programs aimed at reducing risk behaviors among youth and providing substance abuse counseling.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver evidence-based curriculums in the classrooms to K-12 students targeting issues including but not limited to substance abuse, bullying, and coping skills.
  • Provide individual and group counseling to adolescents.
  • Conduct substance abuse screenings/assessments and threat assessments once properly trained.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of counseling sessions and program activities.
  • Stay informed about current trends and best practices in adolescent prevention and counseling.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or related field (Master’s preferred)
  • Willing to become an addiction counselor trainee if not already licensed or certified and work towards certification.
  • Strong understanding of adolescent development and risk behaviors, or willingness to learn
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Crisis intervention training is a plus.
