About our Programs:

The Avera Adolescent Addiction Care Program is designed to be an age-appropriate residential treatment facility. Residents receive a tailor-made recovery program based on their personal needs with a focus on healthy coping skills.

The Avera Behavioral Health Adolescent & Child Units are designed to be a structured and age-appropriate therapeutic environment for adolescents and children to learn to understand problems, use healthy coping skills and set and complete goals

Job Summary

  • The Patient Care Technician performs duties relative to patient care under the direct guidance of a Registered Nurse. 
  • The PCT is responsible to provide direct patient care to patients as delegated by the Registered Nurse or the Licensed Practical Nurse collecting diagnostic data and assisting nursing personnel in providing patient care in their assigned area.

Education and/or Experience

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
  • On the job training provided.  Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
  • This position requires you to be 18 years of age or older.

 Work Schedule

  • Day Shift: every other weekend, occasional holiday; 52 hours every 2 weeks
    • Weekdays: 7:00am-7:00pm
    • Weekends: 12:00pm-4:00pm

Pay

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience. 

  • $17.50 - $23.00 per hour
