Department: Powerplant Division

Position Type: Regular Full Time – 1st Shift

Reports to: Powerplant Building Maintenance Manager

Position Description:

The responsibilities of the Powerplant Building Maintenance Supervisor include:

  • Coordinate with the Powerplant Building Maintenance Manager on current and planned building maintenance projects.
  • Ensure all necessary building maintenance and janitorial materials and supplies are on hand and available to support the Powerplant Division.
  • Ensure that all Powerplant Division grounds are maintained properly (mowing, snow removal, etc.).
  • Schedule and assign daily work assignments to his/her subordinates.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the Powerplant Building Maintenance Manager.

Required Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years’ experience as a building maintenance technician with two of those years in a lead or higher role.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Hold a valid US driver’s license
  • Available for flexible hours and weekends
  • Must have excellent communication skills
  • Training such as electrical, plumbing, HVAC, etc. are a plus.

Language Skills:

  • Must have the ability to read, write and understand spoken English.
  • Must have the ability to understand verbal and written instructions.

Physical Demands:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms, stand, walk, talk or hear; use hands to finger, handle, feel or operate objects, tools or controls.
  • The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move more than 50 pounds.

Work Environment:

  • Work performed can be inside a building and in an outdoor environment.
  • The noise level in the work environment can be loud at times.
  • Appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required.
