JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Title: Parts Expediter

Department: Powerplant Division

Reports to: Materials Supervisor

Position Description:

Responsible for routing and tracking of company/customer engine parts through the production process

Allocating components for repair/overhaul (vendor)Routing engine parts to the appropriate department for in-house repair.Tracking and maintaining a working log for all removed parts, tracking accomplished by work order and locations.Informing management of any parts requirements that may cause delays in production processes.Communicating with the Quality Control Department through the inspection process so as to avoid delays.Expediting any project on the production floor where necessary.Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor.

Required Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalentHold a valid US driver’s license. Knowledgeable of computer systems such as Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, etc.Available for flexible hours and weekendsMust have excellent communication skills.Must have good customer service skills.Knowledgeable of common warehouse practices a plus

Language Skills:

Must have the ability to read, write and understand spoken English. Must have the ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Must have the ability to understand verbal and written instructions.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms, stand, walk, talk or hear; use hands to finger, handle, feel or operate objects, tools or controls.The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.The employee must occasionally lift and/or move more than 50 pounds.

Work Environment:

Work is performed primarily in a shop environment and maintenance setting. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
