The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive background in all facets of immigration law, including family-based cases, humanitarian cases, employment-based visas, and immigration court proceedings. Additionally, the candidate must have proven experience in managing a team of paralegals, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and compliance with legal standards. The ideal candidate will also be bilingual and fully fluent in both English and Spanish languages. Applicants should be experienced, highly organized professionals with great attention to detail. Compensation:

$55,000 yearly DOE

Responsibilities:
  • Case Management: Oversee and manage a diverse caseload involving family-based immigration, humanitarian relief, employment-based visas, and removal defense cases.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor a team of 3-6 paralegals and legal assistants, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations to ensure high standards of work and professional development.
  • Legal Research & Documentation: Conduct thorough legal research and prepare legal documents, including petitions, applications, affidavits, and briefs.
  • Client Interaction: Communicate effectively with clients to gather necessary information, provide updates on case status, and address any concerns or questions.
  • Court Proceedings: Assist attorneys in preparing for immigration court hearings, including compiling evidence, organizing exhibits, and drafting legal arguments.
  • Compliance & Quality Control: Ensure all filings and documentation comply with legal standards and firm policies. Implement quality control measures to maintain accuracy and completeness in all case files.
  • Liaison Role: Act as a liaison between attorneys, clients, government agencies, and other parties involved in the immigration process as needed.
  • Administrative Duties: Oversee administrative tasks related to case management, including maintaining databases and managing case-related correspondence and communications. 
Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field. Paralegal certification is preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience as a paralegal in an immigration law firm, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead role.

  • Extensive knowledge of U.S. immigration laws and procedures.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in legal research tools and case management software.
  • High attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Bilingual and fully fluent in both English and Spanish.
