Location: Peachtree City, GA

FLSA Status: Exempt

Salary range: $50K - $60K DOE

Job Overview: The HR Specialist will play a crucial role in managing and supporting human resources functions within the manufacturing environment. This role involves overseeing employee relations, recruitment, compliance, and performance management. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HR practices, with specific knowledge of safety regulations within the manufacturing industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures in alignment with company goals and industry regulations.
  • Manage the recruitment process, including job postings, interviewing, and onboarding of new employees.
  • Address employee inquiries and resolve issues related to performance, benefits, and workplace conflicts.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws, including health and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with management to create and implement safety training programs and initiatives.
  • Monitor and report on key HR metrics, such as turnover rates and employee satisfaction.
  • Facilitate employee development programs and performance reviews.
  • Stay current on industry trends and best practices in HR and manufacturing safety.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as an HR Specialist or similar role, preferably within the manufacturing sector.
  • In-depth knowledge of labor laws, safety regulations, and HR best practices.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing safety standards and practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Japanese / English Bilingual is a plus.
  • Professional HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus.
  • Experience with safety compliance and OSHA regulations is highly desirable.
