GPH Services is currently looking for an Estimator to work in the Sanford office. What you will be doing:

  • Meets and collaborates with clients, engineers, and other staff to understand the products being developed.
  • Communicates with clients and partners to clarify project requirements and provide cost-related information.
  • Negotiates pricing and contract terms to obtain competitive rates.
  • Identifies the pricing structure required for products to sell at profit.
  • Estimates costs of new equipment or capital investment necessary for production.
  • Reviews and analyzes existing and proposed processes, staff, and materials; identifies cost-reduction opportunities.
  • Determines needs for additional staff, machinery, materials, and other resources.
  • Confers with engineers, owners, contractors, and subcontractors on changes and adjustments to cost estimates.
  • Drafts cost estimates for projects based on data analysis and research; distributes reports to engineers, contractors, clients, and other stakeholders.
  • Prepares reports forecasting production scenarios; makes recommendations based on findings.
  • Collects historical cost data to estimate costs for current or future products.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

What you will need:

  • At least two years of related experience required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Extensive knowledge of cost accounting principles.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with theability to create forecasts based on financial data.
  • Familiarity with construction materials, methods, and industry standards.
  • Proficient with accounting software and cost software.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time.
