Staff Accountant

We are currently seeking a Staff Accountant to join our Accounting Team.

Staff Accountant:

Objective – Staff Accountant will assist in maintaining internal systems to support the company’s accounting processes. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Sales tax accounting, prepare monthly recurring journal entries; assist with month-end/year end close; as well as handling day-to-day accounting functions.

Job Duties:

• Daily bank reconciliation
• Reconciliation of key trial balance accounts
• Various month-end close duties
• Inventory and sales tax accounting
• Job cost accounting – monitoring and reconciliation
• Assist with intercompany accounts receivable/accounts payable reconciliation
• Reconcile balance sheet account and complete supporting schedules monthly
• Adhere to accounting close checklist so that final reporting packages can be sent on time and accurately
• Perform necessary month-end duties (recording cash transfers, intercompany transfers and interco AR/AP journal entries, etc.)
• Other duties as assigned

Education and Experience:

• Associates or BS Degree in Finance, Business or related field.
• Also acceptable - 5+ Years of progressive accounting experience
• Background in related field, bookkeeping and or business management
