Job DescriptionJob DescriptionThe Hilton Garden Inn in Napa is looking for a Sunday morning Host from 7:30am - 11:30am. Candidates must be outgoing and able to assist servers as needed. Candidate will need to obtain Food Handler Certification within 30 days or provide at hire.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Warmly and graciously greet all guests upon arrival.
  • Accommodate special seating requests for guests whenever possible.
  • Seat guest guests based on guest preferences and balancing of customer flow in service stations.
  • Upon seating, offer guests a menu and inform them of their server’s name. Inspect table for proper presentation and completeness.
  • Assist servers as needed.
  • Have knowledge of menu items, preparation, and ingredients.
  • Thank guests as they leave and invite them to return.
  • Maintain positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner so that you get along with customers clients, co-workers, and management.

Qualifications:

  • No previous restaurant experience required, but helpful.
  • Be able to working in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 4 hours).
  • Be able to communicate clearly and effectively in the predominant language(s) of our guests.
  • Must be able to bend, stoop and reach during shift.
