Position Summary:
A Shift Lead models NbC values of the Spirit of a Champion, a Servants Heart and the Ability to Make Genuine Connections. Duties will include regularly assisting owner/assistant manager with opening/closing bakery, leading other employees during shifts and assisting with weekend operational duties. Hours may be adjusted during seasonal and peak times of the year; high sales dates (holidays) will be a requirement.

Requirements/Responsibilities:
Opening/Closing Bakery:
Opening/closing of bakery doors as needed during regular operating hours on the weekend.
Starting and finishing the POS drawers; ensuring drawers are balanced.
Loading of the front bakery case.
Daily use of Checklists to ensure all Opening/Closing Duties are fulfilled.

Overall Leading of Bakery during Open Hours:
Overseeing employees and guests while assisting with crafting.
Consistently ensuring guest impressions/needs are being attended to by GSRs (Front of House).
Managing the crafting area and orders (Back of House).
Observing and managing tickets for Same Day and also Next Day.
Ensuring communication between frosting and crafting areas re: priority, changes and shift change.
As soon as possible during the day, assemble crafting bins for decorated cakes.
Processing the decorating of cakes.
Assisting with daily task lists for assembling of crafts, boxes, flags, etc.
Being readily available to find solutions to employee and guest issues.
Assisting with daily training, both with new employees and additionally with more tenured employees.
Assisting with consistent reviewal of woodbury@nothingbundtcakes.com email.
Performing other miscellaneous duties as needed.

Additional Details:
Physically standing for majority of working shifts.
Frequent lifting requirements as supplies are brought to the bakery, etc. up to 50 lbs.
Fast paced environment requiring quick responses to guests, phones, on-line ordering and employees.
6 to 14 hours a weekend; could potentially be every other weekend if desired.

Other Necessary Qualifications:
High school diploma highly preferred.
Genuinely cares about value of the brand and representation of our cakes.
Possess a strong sense of teamwork; dependable and has integrity.
Possess leadership skills and strong work ethic.
Ability to multi-task while paying special attention to detail.
Excellent communications skills.
Experience in mentoring and conflict resolution.
