Kendall Auto Group is one of the largest family owned and operated dealers in the Pacific Northwest and premier employer in Marysville. We are looking for a Dealer Trade Driver to join the team. This is a full-time position that is DOT regulated. The driver needs to be located in the Marysville area.
Duties Include:
- Deliver and pick-up vehicles from other dealerships and facilities using truck and transport trailer or flat bed.
- Knowledge and ability to hook up and pull either fifth wheel or bumper pull trailers.
- Compliance with all DOT” hours of service” and “vehicle inspection” regulations and requirements.
- Deliver and pick up vehicles directly from customer’s personal and business addresses. Plotting safe routes in compliance with state and federal laws.
- Ability to safely operate a 12K winch to load and unload disabled vehicles.
- Load, secure and operate vehicles in a safe and efficient manner, protecting them from damage.
- Ability to operate a wide variety of cars, light trucks, and vans. Loaded vehicle combinations may total up to 45,000 pounds. Both manual and automatic transmissions must be operated.
- Lift loading ramps up-to 100lbs, secure vehicles using securing straps and similar devices and hand tools.
- Inspect vehicles for damage and properly document it.
- Complete and verify paperwork in conjunction with vehicle trades, purchases and deliveries.
- Maintain driver electronic logbook to comply with DOT and other government agencies.
- Inspect vehicles for safe operation: make, arrange for, or report needed maintenance and repairs as appropriate.
- Deliver and pick-up vehicles without trailer transport when necessary.
- Deliver and pick-up documents, and obtain signatures as needed.
- Vehicle checklist to include VIN Inspection of each vehicle transporting to ensure the correct vehicle is loaded and moved.
- Vehicle rescue using a standard winch attached to a single-place trailer.
- Able to transport/drive all hours day and night
Company driving experience and basic knowledge of automotive parts is preferred. The annual salary range is $75,000.00. A valid Class A CDL license, DOT Med Card and good driving record is required. Candidate must also be familiar with using hands-free mobile equipment while driving.
