K2 has an immediate need for a Patient Recruitment Lead. The Patient Recruitment Lead serves as a key liaison across multiple divisions, overseeing the creation, implementation, and delivery of patient recruitment strategies for assigned projects and programs. This role ensures that study needs, and patient populations are supported through comprehensive recruitment strategies, including monitoring interventions and site support. Additionally, the Lead manages client reporting and communication, escalating issues as necessary.
In this capacity, the Lead is responsible for recruiting patients for all studies, administering prescreening surveys (e.g., phone screens) to identify eligible patients, and scheduling screening visits for both current and upcoming studies. The Lead also builds and develops the site's database by identifying and implementing new methods for patient recruitment, contacting new potential patients, and maintaining contact with patients in the database.
Primary Responsibilities:
· Serve as the Lead for recruitment strategies within the team.
· Communicate closely with team members, including the Recruiters, Project Manager, and Clinical Team Manager.
· Collaborate with clinical and project management teams to ensure goals are met.
· Train team members on recruitment strategies and best practices.
· Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for patient recruitment topics during sponsor updates and communications.
· Provide tracking metrics and create reports for enrollment progress, including pre-screening, screening, and enrollment updates.
· Develop and oversee study-specific patient recruitment strategies, recommending adjustments as needed.
· Distribute call lists to team members, monitor their progress and results, and maintain metrics on call list performance.
· Collaborate with site teams and the Director of Recruitment to develop and execute comprehensive study recruitment plans.
· Recruit for multiple studies by contacting referrals generated by our marketing/outreach efforts
· Identify patients from our internal database who may qualify for new trials
· Assist in identifying studies patients potentially qualify for and schedule them for an initial visit at one of our facilities.
· Keep an updated tracker with all scheduled patients and visit outcomes
· Follow up with patients as necessary
· Thoroughly understand all assigned studies through reading protocols, resource materials, and attending trainings
· Other tasks as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
· Clinical research experience demonstrating a deep knowledge of the industry to include development of, medical and therapeutic areas, phases, and medical terminology.
· Effective presentation and communication skills (listening, oral, written), with proficiency in English.
· Ability to persuade, convince, and influence others.
· Strong interpersonal skills, flexibility, and adaptability. Experience leading and coordinating multifunctional project teams.
· Knowledge of multifunctional project management principles (cost, time, quality).
· Highly organized with attention to detail and a quality-focused approach.
· Coaching/mentoring skills.
· Ability to prioritize workload and multitask under competitive deadlines. Proficient in the use of automated systems and applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MS Teams, etc.).
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent formal academic/vocational qualification.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience Equivalent combinations of education, training, and experience will be considered.
