Chelsea, Massachusetts

The MWRA is seeking a Master Welder I to perform inspections, service and maintenance structural components of vehicles, shop equipment and steel water mains. The work includes inspecting structural components of vehicles and equipment to locate trouble and determining needed repairs; installing pipe and valve restraints and pipe supports; performing welding, grinding and cutting procedures and performing repairs to MWRA steel water mains, tanks and hatches.

This position requires a high school diploma or GED; a one (1) year certificate from college or technical school; three (3) to six (6) years experience in welding, grinding and cutting in an automotive and heavy equipment area and a valid driver's license.
