YOUR ROLE

Summary

DEBNER’s collaborative environment will offer the best educational experience for a deeper understanding of the role of a designer at a premier commercial furniture dealership. Interns will benefit from hands-on learning with our design and sales teams through project work, site visits, and office activities. Through interactions with the project team, interns will receive mentorship and support to optimize growth, develop critical thinking, while gaining real-world experience working with clients across a spectrum of industries. This opportunity will also help you expand your understanding of the many job possibilities within the design industry and discover your impact on helping clients achieve their vision.

Responsibilities

  • Consult with manufacturers; research and evaluate materials.

  • Participate in design meetings.

  • Receive mentorship from experienced design professionals.

  • Code drawings with specification tags.

  • Visit a construction site(s) and/or completed project sites.

  • Assist with the library maintenance.

  • Order material samples for project work.

Required Skills

  • Ability to effectively meet deadlines.

  • Proficiency with CAD, PowerPoint, Bluebeam, Teams, Outlook, and Microsoft Excel and Word.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Proficiency in rendering software
