We have a position open on Weekend Day shift in Chippewa Falls working as a Press Brake Operator. Only work 3-days per week and enjoy 4-days off every week

POSITION –Press Brake Operator

JOB LOCATION –Chippewa Falls, WI

STARTING DATE –Immediately

EMPLOYMENT TERM –Temp-to-Hire

EMPLOYMENT TYPE –Full-Time

WORK HOURS (SHIFT) –Weekend Shift (5:45am-6:15pm, Fri-Sun)

STARTING PAY –$20/hr to $25/hour DOE

BENEFITS –Medical, Vision, Dental, 401(K), Paid Vacation, Paid Holidays

EDUCATION–High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE –1 to 3 years related experience in a metal fabrication setting; and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.

The Press Brake Operator is responsible to complete set-up and operation of metal bending machines (Press Brake) in accordance with quality/quantity standards based on blue prints.

Responsibilities

  • Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to management or designee.
  • Maintain work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follows prescribed safety procedures.
  • Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to management or designee.
  • Perform quality inspection/checks per quality documentation/control plan (including documentation of results).
  • Identify different types of material – Aluminum, 5000 series Aluminum, Steel, Stainless Steel, Paint Grip, Galvanneal, and Galvanized.
  • Uphold our efficiency standard
  • Learn and demonstrate continuous improvement for Safety and Quality standards and procedures
  • Assist in other work areas as assigned

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • 1-3 years prior fabrication experience and/or related experience or training
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide into all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Attention to detail and quality
  • Able to lift 25 pounds regularly
  • Excellent communicator and are self-motivated and driven
