Full Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced billing specialist to work with our existing team.  The ideal candidate will have knowledge of medical coding and insurance and can work independently with precision and accuracy.  Attention to detail in this position is critical to minimize denied claims. Further, candidates must demonstrate the ability to problem solve, research and resolve discrepancies and process denials and appeals when the occur in a timely manner.

MedNOW uses the Athena EHR system and experience with this system is strongly preferred.

MedNOW expects all staff to communicate clearly and professionally and to always provide excellent customer service.  Each team member will need to be mindful of the task at hand, which is to effectively and accurately bill for the medical services we provide while having a strong customer-focus to ensure our patients not only get the care they need but also receive accurate billing statements and have questions answered as thoroughly and timely as possible.
Requirements:
  • 1-3 Years of Medical Billing Experience
  • Knowledge of modifiers, insurance regulations, and common coding regulations
  • High School Diploma or equivalent

This position is for our Business Office in Aurora, CO. It is a Full-Time position with a schedule of Monday-Friday from 8am to 5pm with a 1-hour lunch break.
