Job Summary

The Outbound Associate II is responsible for supporting the outbound operation by coding the picking queue and assigning orders in the picking queue when needed. This role will support outbound in other functions such as picking, auditing, & shipping. The candidate will learn and backup other support roles including but not limited to clerical roles, data input, and report creation and/or maintenance. Operate an Electric Pallet Jack to move products throughout the warehouse safely and efficiently.

  • Coding orders based on their criteria for efficient and productive order assignment.
  • Identifying orders with UOM, Ship via, and any other issues preventing an order from perfect picking and shipping and escalating them accordingly.
  • Efficient and effective order assignment.
  • Audit tracker data input backup and support.
  • Data input and report maintenance as a support function of outbound metrics.
  • Pick an average of 13 lines per hour, and limit down time b/t picks to a min of 5 min.
  • Use an RF scan gun to accurately pick products according to order sheets.
  • Ensure order accuracy by verifying product numbers and quantities.
  • Follow safety guidelines and procedures when operating equipment and handling products.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area to facilitate efficient picking and storage.
  • Participate in inventory counts and assist in managing warehouse inventory accuracy.
  • Communicate with supervisors and team members regarding order status and any issues encountered.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and compliance regulations.

Qualifications and Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-2 previous experience in a warehouse setting, especially in picking or material handling, preferred.
  • Outstanding work or academic performance
  • An aptitude for analysis and problem solving
  • Be resourceful, poised
  • Enjoy working in a fast-paced team environment as an effective contributor.
  • Experience in Excel and have great communication skills.
  • Ability to operate an electric pallet jack and RF scan gun with proficiency
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong commitment to excellence
  • Physical ability to lift -up to 75 lbs. pounds and stand/walk for extended periods.
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
