Raycap, Inc. is looking for a short-distance driver whose main duty will be to deliver and pick up materials from our Kearny, NJ facility and deliver to locations in the Regional Northeast.

Qualifications

  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Must have 2-3 years of previous delivery or truck driving experience, preferably driving in NYC
  • Forklift experience (or the ability to become forklift certified)
  • Must be able to lift and handle material up to 100 pounds, pull orders, load and unload trucks, and make deliveries as required
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Must be comfortable driving and working in varying weather conditions
  • Must have a clean driving record
  • Valid class D driver’s license required (CDL is not a requirement for this position)
  • Must pass the DOT driving test

Primary Job Responsibilities

  • Make deliveries and pick-ups repeatedly throughout the day in the most efficient, economical manner possible
  • Deliver product to and pick up product from specified locations using company vehicles only
  • Maintain an efficient routing system
  • Ensure appropriate documentation is in order prior to loading or delivery
  • Maintain an organized and efficient loading and unloading system
  • Load and unload products in a safe and efficient manner at all times
  • Ensure items listed on the manifest are loaded and delivered
  • Maintain safe transport and handling procedures at all times
  • Promptly report any vehicle issues, malfunctions, or incidents to the Warehouse Manager
