We are seeking a highly skilled and safety-conscious Pit Operations Operator to join our team at ASARCO LLC. As a Pit Operations Operator, you will be responsible for performing various tasks in and around the Mine Operations office, including clean-up and miscellaneous tasks in the Pit.
Key Responsibilities- Perform clean-up and miscellaneous tasks in and around the Mine Operations office
- Operate small front-end loaders and water trucks for clean-up when needed
- Perform pre-operational checks and servicing of all assigned mobile equipment
- Work safely around moving equipment while using required safety equipment
- Report to front-line supervisor for daily instructions
- Implement and follow standard operating procedures
- Report at end of shift what was accomplished and not accomplished during the shift
- Assist with cable work and other tasks as assigned
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must provide proof of legal eligibility to work in the U.S.
- Must have a valid social security number
- Must have a valid and current driver's license
- Must pass a drug screen and background check
The Ray mine is located in a remote area, and employees are encouraged to participate in our carpool and vanpool program to reduce commuting costs. ASARCO LLC is committed to providing a safe and healthy work environment for all employees.
