Cage Vault Manager

This position ensures the safeguarding of all cash assets and ensures proper job performance and policy/regulatory compliance of all departmental personnel in conformance with all internal control policies, procedures, and regulations while ensuring that all monies are in balance and properly/accurately accounted for, as well as demonstrating the GILA WAY.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Promotes and provides excellent guest service experiences to both internal and external guests.
- Monitors and when necessary responds to daily activities of the cage with regard to all three shifts to ensure that cash is balanced, policies and procedures are complied with, and any variances are responded to appropriately on a timely basis.
- Reconciles various cash balancing reports and reviews data with shift supervisor when balancing does not occur. Ensures that all transaction authority levels are complied with.
- Creates and revises departmental policies and procedures.
- Performs other special projects and duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Directly supervises a small number of exempt and non-exempt employees with varying job duties.
Skills/ Requirements- Associate's Degree in Business or related field preferred.
- Five (5) years management or supervisory experience working with large volumes of currency or other negotiable instruments, preferably in a casino/gaming environment OR five (5) years increasingly responsible management experience in casino finance-related roles.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles of journal entries and cash flows is preferred.
- Ability to perform the GILA WAY which is as follows; Greet our guest, Interact positively with our guest, Listen actively to our guest, and Appreciate our guest.
- Must possess strong attention to detail and excellent guest service skills, strong telephone etiquette, and be a self-starter with the ability to follow up and complete tasks in a timely manner with minimum supervision.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships as well as to gain the cooperation of guests and fellow team members.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral.
- This position must have, or an ability to acquire within one year, an in-depth knowledge and thorough understanding of Enterprise Policies and Procedures, governmental regulations, and technical rules relevant to their responsibilities.
