Position Summary

This position will work closely with the Northern region, offices. Your home office will be located in Merrillville, IN. You will report directly to Ameetrice Smalls, Administrative Director. Our staff includes a wide variety of experience levels with expertise in city, county, DOT and INDOT work projects for local cities, counties, and the State.


A Typical Day May Include

  • Read and analyze incoming memos, letters, and reports to determine their significance and distribute appropriately.
  • Create and maintain project information in project management system; create subcontracts, purchase orders, change orders and their respective attachments as well as generating transmittals per Director’s request for plans and specifications and pay requests.
  • Answer and direct phone calls or take messages for appropriate parties.
  • Prepare agendas for meetings and make arrangements, such as coordinating catering for luncheons, for committee, and other meetings.
  • Preparing plans and specifications for pickup/shipment.

Requirements:

What We're Looking For·

  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent education and/or experience.·
  • 2-5years of experience providing administrative support·
  • Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, e-mail, spreadsheets, and managing files and records and other office procedures at a proficient level.
  • Working knowledge of office equipment, like printers.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Products (Required) Word Excel PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills.
  • Great written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated track record for providing exceptional customer service.
  • Valid driver's license (Required)
