A successful Commercial Preventative Maintenance Technician is a proactive problem-solver who ensures refrigeration systems' optimal performance and longevity. Responsibilities for the Commercial Preventative Maintenance Technician:
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on commercial refrigeration systems (walk-in coolers, reach-in freezers, ice machines).
- Inspect and test refrigeration system components (compressors, condensers, evaporators, fans) for proper operation.
- Clean coils, lubricate moving parts, and replace air filters.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot refrigeration system malfunctions.
- Identify and repair leaks, electrical problems, and mechanical issues.
- Replace worn or damaged parts and components.
- Maintain accurate records of service calls, repairs, and maintenance via service software.
- Communicate effectively with customers to explain problems and solutions.
Requirements of the Commercial Preventative Maintenance Technician:
- At least 1 year working with commercial systems.
- Experience cleaning ice machines, condensers, and drains.
- Experience installing basic parts for preventative measures.
- Will assist with acquiring EPA Certification.
- A solid understanding of how refrigeration systems and their parts work.
- Highly proficient with Microsoft Office and extremely tech-savvy.
- Epass appliance service software experience/knowledge is a plus
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Must own hand tools.
- Ability to work well on your own and with others.
- Skilled at finding and fixing problems quickly and efficiently.
- A valid license with a clean driving history.
