Accounts Payable Associate Job Description

  • Compile weekly Accounts Payable reports.
  • Processes check requests and payments.
  • Responsible for the accuracy and timely processing of weekly check printing.
  • Provide reports as required by Management.
  • Weekly recording/preparation of checks for distribution and/or mailing, i.e. vendor, payments, etc.
  • Responsible for maintaining filing and recordkeeping systems.
  • Responsible for depositing checks for inter-company deposits.
  • Process Electronic Accounts Payable on the Accounting System.
  • Reviewing documents, letters/forms checks, etc. to ensure accuracy and accurately input/update information and records into databases and spreadsheets, etc.
  • Proofread information on documents/checks/invoices.
  • Must be able to multi-task with an excellent eye for detail
Requirements:

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree (two-year program or two to three years of college) or equivalent formal training, accounting coursework is highly desirable.
  • Experience in Yardi and working with efficiency in Excel.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be detail-oriented and extremely organized with the ability to learn new programs and procedures quickly.
