As a Mechanical Assembler, you will be responsible for assembling mechanical components and subassemblies according to specifications, blueprints, and work instructions. You will work under direct supervision to meet production goals and objectives while maintaining high standards of quality and safety. The Level 2 position requires additional experience and knowledge of operating various machines and a comprehensive understanding of all processes in the department.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform mechanical assembly of components and subassemblies according to provided blueprints, work instructions, and specifications.
  • Utilize hand and power tools to complete assembly tasks efficiently and accurately.
  • Ensure that all assembled parts meet quality standards and perform necessary inspections and tests to verify product functionality.
  • Identify and report any defects or issues with components, materials, or equipment to the supervisor.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve production goals and objectives within the given timeframes.
  • Follow all company policies and procedures, including safety guidelines, to maintain a safe working environment.
Requirements:

Requirements for Level 1:

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in mechanical assembly or a related field.
  • Proficiency in using hand and power tools to assemble mechanical components.
  • Basic understanding of blueprints and the ability to interpret and follow technical instructions.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet goals and objectives under direct supervision.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.

Requirements for Level 2:

  • All Level 1 qualifications, plus:
  • 3-5 years of experience in mechanical assembly or a related field.
  • Ability to operate a variety of machines and equipment involved in the assembly process.
  • Comprehensive understanding of all processes within the department.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot assembly issues.

Preferred Certifications:

  • Forklift driving certification.
  • Blueprint reading
