Job Description:

  • Under supervision, perform housing related assistance and act as a liaison between the Division of Housing & Community Resources and the department's Regulatory services in receiving, formulating and transmitting requests for legal advice on behalf of the Division;
  • Conduct hearings for Division and render written decisions as required;
  • Review & analyze Division's program documents including reasonable accommodation requests;
  • Conduct legal research on rules and regulations on programs and review policies and procedures for compliance:
  • Provide technical guidance on Legislative Agenda items and complete special projects as assigned within established time frames.
  • Handles OPRA requests as records custodian.

Skills required:

  • Multitask

Education required:

  • Graduation from accredited law school with a Juris Doctor Degree;
  • Background in conducting legal research, analyzing & evaluating legal documents, rules, regulations, and/or legislation, or review & analysis of regulatory matters in a government agency.

Experience required:

  • Real estate and affordable housing experience
