Scope of Work:

The primary purpose of this position is to provide Quality Control oversight, audits, inspections, and contract compliance verification while working as a member of the Quality team with direction from the Quality Manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform timely work inspections and conduct on-going audits of the project’s quality system utilizing ISO 9000 series criteria.
  • Prepare reports, trackers and trend analysis as needed.
  • Responsible for accurate, independent evaluation of work performed by civil engineer technicians.
  • Maintain documentation of findings, audit process and ensure overall compliance to Quality Control.
  • Develop the audit criteria with which to conduct the quality system audits based on the performance work statement, internal standards, and Air Force guidance.
  • Process audit and inspection findings to include recommendations for any deficiencies found.
  • Provide training on the performance of quality control inspections, as needed.
  • Interfaces with various departments, customers, and Government employees.
  • Create, review and track status of procedures, work instructions, flow charts and plans for assigned areas.
  • Input inspection results to the Quality Audit databases and other databases as needed.
  • Conduct follow-up action to deficiencies ensuring Corrective Action has been implemented and is effective.
  • Capable of working in an office and field environment in performance of duties.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • ASQ certification desired.
  • Minimum one (1) years’ experience as a quality system auditor or related experience providing the necessary knowledge, skills, and ability to perform the duties as identified above.
  • Trade skill knowledge or experience preferred.
  • Possess knowledge of the ISO 9000 standards.
  • Knowledge of office automation software (MS Windows, MS Office, including PowerPoint, Word, and Excel) required.
  • Must be able to successfully complete a National Agency Check with Inquiries (Tier 1) background check.
  • Performs all assigned duties in accordance with established policies, procedures, and directives.
  • Displays courtesy and skill in dealing with internal and external customers, coworkers, and management.
  • Accurately maintains and updates records to enable quick and efficient retrieval of information.
  • Consistently produces quality products and service.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Complete all training within required timeline.
  • Perform all work in a safe and secure manner.
  • All conferences, workshops and seminars as deemed necessary by the supervisor or the position. Completes all safety, anti-terrorism, fire extinguisher, asbestos awareness, and any other local, state, federal, installation required, and any other training deemed necessary by the supervisor or position.
  • Must maintain licenses and/or credentials required for this position.
  • Ability to speak, read, and write English.
  • Must possess the ability to interact well with others in a team setting ability or alone and be able to change jobs on short notice.
  • Must be capable of working under tight time constraints in a high-volume environment with multiple priorities.
  • Highly motivated, flexible organized and must be detail oriented.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be able to maintain ability to access government worksite.
  • Must have practical knowledge of worksite safety, occupational hazards, and standard safety practices.
  • Must be able to work alternate and extended shift schedules when necessary to meet the customer's mission requirements, including weekends and holidays.
  • Must be able to perform on-call duties when necessary and report to work within the required timeframe from notification. 
  • Must have and maintain a valid state driver’s license to operate a company vehicle.
  • Must have a safe driving record, as defined by Company policy, to operate a company vehicle.
  • Must be able to successfully complete a drug/alcohol test and a criminal record check.
