Description: The Project Lead must lead the planning, execution, monitoring, and communication for multiple projects, including resource management and performance management. The successful candidate must define and drive process changes that improve service implementation and delivery. The Project Lead will oversee the maintenance of project documentation, write user documentation and communications, design test plans, and handle escalated support issues. The candidate should have a background as an IT project manager, IT project facilitator, IT release manager or a similar role. This role will support contract and client leadership in gathering, analyzing, and compiling data needed to communicate trends and patterns, then make recommendations for business actions to support program management objectives. A successful candidate will be driven, focused, and able to organize, maintain, and deliver multiple programmatic responsibilities while maintaining clear lines of communication and technical competence. 

 

Project Lead / Project Manager Job Duties:

  • Experience with IT program or project management, including business processes and legal or regulatory business systems.
  • Summarizes development team-level reports for review by executives, managers, clients, and stakeholders. 
  • Experience with software development life cycle, including Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) and DevSecOps methodologies, and agile program or project management.
  • Facilitate transfer of information developed in SITREPs, Monthly reports, and presentations.
  • Participate in Daily Standups and Agile Ceremonies and can speak truth to leadership.
  • Support Onboarding of new team members and access.
  • Mapping deliverables from contract requirements and reporting.
  • Develop executive-level briefings.
  • Responsible for developing project plans
  • Manage procurement and licensing requirements for infrastructure and development teams.
  • Ask questions to determine the nature of the problem and walk customers through the problem-solving process.
  • Provide technical and troubleshooting assistance for computer systems, hardware, software, access, and other system-related issues and products.
  • Follow up with customers and provide feedback to ensure issues have been resolved satisfactorily and adequately escalate unresolved queries to the next level of support.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Proficient in Google Suite or related software.  
  • Robust quality control, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Strong data visualization experience and ability to reference recent examples.
  • Able to interface with developers, engineers, and technical teams and communicate with executive leadership and program management personnel.
  • Ability to collect and compile relevant data and translate it to non technical personnel. 
  • Dedicated mentorship relationships and personal development.
  • Extremely organized with great attention to detail.
  • Possess an excellent ability to analyze information and think systematically.
  • Strong business analysis skills.
  • Able to work independently in a remote environment with minimal supervision.
  • Maintain core working hours (10 A.M. EST - 4 P.M. EST), continuous communication with team channels, and ‘camera on’ discipline. 
  • Works well independently and as part of a team.
  • Thorough understanding of the company’s business processes and the industry at large.
  • Ability to handle databases and understand technology-driven business intelligence tools.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance. 
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

 

Security Clearance Requirements: None required upon applying but must be willing to undergo background check to obtain a Public Trust security clearance. Must be a U.S. citizen.

 

Experience Requirements: Minimum of 5 years experience in a related field.

 

Education Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Economics, Accounting, Finance, or Computer and Information Science required; Master’s degree preferred or in pursuit. 

 

Desired Skills / Qualifications:  PMP; or currently enrolled in certificate, SAFe Certifications a plus, Experience with JIRA, Confluence 

 

Location: Remote, Fairmont, WV

 

Status: Full time

 

Schedule: Day shift, Monday–Friday

 

Physical Requirements: Must be able to remain in a stationary position for long durations of time. Also, must be able to continuously operate a computer and other office productivity machinery.
