Quality Lab Technician

* RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Performs audits in the products and processes to ensure accordance with the customer requirements.
  • Determines compliance with dimensional specifications using a variety of measuring instruments.
  • Interprets control plans and executes the tests accordingly. Analyzes the test results of production parts against specifications (approve/reprove).
  • Identifies and explains acceptable/unacceptable product.
  • Sorts and collects samples of raw materials, mixes, and finished goods for testing.
  • Uses in-house as well as customer specifications and blueprints.
  • Conducts investigations into non-conforming product and develops reports, recommendations, and solutions.
  • Performs audits and capability studies.
  • Enters collected data and performs analysis on SPC (Statistical Process Control)
  • Serves as a back-up or alternate for quality auditors, technician, and Lab. technician as needed.
  • Perform full range of physical properties test on finished goods to be shipped.
  • Perform chemical test on raw materials.
  • Other duties as assigned.

* EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TECHNICAL SKILLS, AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Level of Education Required: High School Diploma
  • Experience Required: Laboratory and or manufacturing experience.
  • Technical Skills: SPC (Statistical Process Control), Demonstrate thorough understanding and use of measurements devices and gauges, Basic Computer Skills: Basic Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word knowledge.
