After School Director Position Description 

Koinonia Christian Center Church is seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to lead our after-school program with an immediate start date.  The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to the mission and values of Koinonia Christian Center Church. The candidate must possess strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills to create a stimulating and enriching environment for our students. This is a part-time position requiring daily on-site presence from Monday to Friday, 1:00 PM to 6:30 PM. 


Responsibilities 

Program Management - Oversee the daily operations of the after-school program, ensuring a safe and engaging atmosphere for all participants. 


Curriculum Development- Collaborate with teachers and staff at the schools to develop and implement a curriculum that reinforces classroom learning while introducing new and exciting experiences to make learning fun.  There will be an emphasis on positively impacting the  


Staff Management - Recruit, hire, train, and supervise program staff and volunteers. Foster a positive and collaborative team environment where staff are excited to help the children and their families. 


Budget Oversight - Manage the program's budget effectively, ensuring financial accountability. 

Community Relations - Build strong relationships with parents, schools, and community partners to enhance program support and outreach.  


Student Development - Create a learning environment that promotes a balance of academic success, character development, and personal growth. 


Administrative Duties - Maintain accurate student records, attendance, and program documentation. 


Qualifications 

Bachelor's degree in education, child development, or a related field. 

Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. 

Passion for child development and education. 

Proven ability to manage and motivate staff. 

Experience in curriculum development and implementation. 

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and Google Office (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Gmail) programs. 

First Aid and CPR certification required.
