We are seeking a friendly and professional Host/Hostess to join our team and enhance our customer experience.

Position Overview: As a Host/Hostess at Eximius Associates, you will be the first point of contact for guests, responsible for greeting, seating, and managing the flow of guests to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience. The ideal candidate will be personable, organised, and capable of handling a busy front-of-house environment with professionalism.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet guests warmly upon arrival, managing reservations, and ensuring a positive first impression.
  • Seat guests efficiently, balancing the needs of the dining area and accommodating special requests as needed.
  • Manage waitlists and communicate estimated wait times to guests, keeping them informed and comfortable.
  • Answer phone calls and assist with reservations, providing information about the venue and its services.
  • Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure a smooth and efficient guest experience.
  • Handle guest inquiries and resolve any issues or concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Maintain an organised and welcoming front-of-house area, including the reception desk and waiting areas.
  • Support the team during busy periods, assisting with various front-of-house tasks as required.
  • Follow all company policies and health and safety regulations to provide a safe and pleasant environment for guests and staff.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a host, hostess, or in a customer service role is preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and professional attitude.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and handle a busy environment with efficiency.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in using reservation systems and basic computer skills.
  • A positive and proactive approach to guest service.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional qualifications in hospitality or related fields are a plus.
