Wood County Hospital is now accepting applications for a Development Coordinator. Under supervision of the Vice President, the Development Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the execution of the Foundation's stewardship events, focusing on expanding mid-level donor programs, assist with building volunteer and community relationships and manage the donor software program along with donor related financial reporting.  

Job Duties:

  • E ngages, stewards, and manages relationship with Guild volunteers to successfully execute fundraising plans to achieve financial goals.
  • Event management of correct and timely preparation of acknowledgement letters, tax receipts and thank you notes following required and best practices. 
  • Coordinates and manages annual giving program to increase current and future gifts in support of the WCH.  Development of messaging, list management of all internal and external contacts.  Manages production schedules, along with supply needs.
  • Serves as main point of contact for all tribute related inquired handles conversations with compassion and sensitivity and manages relationships with tribute donors.
  • Management of fundraising events:  responsible for logistics, fundraising, follow-up and overseeing execution of the event along with Guild volunteers.  Works closely with the VP of Development during and after events.
  • Lead committee and Guild meetings with individual prospects, engaging them in supporting WCH, including phone calls, in-person or committee meetings and educating volunteers on our program opportunities.
  • Requires engagement with donors, partners, and volunteers and requires successful leadership skills for management cross-departmental projects.
  • Manages the donor database, including the input of data into Raiser’s Edge as necessary to produce receipts and generate reports, the creation of campaigns, and appeal codes.
  • Writes and edits donor correspondence including gift acknowledgements and stewardship pieces.
  • Collaborates with VP regarding tribute gift designations that are areas of interest for families. 
  • Oversee Guild newsletter and other communications as necessary.

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum Education:

  • Bachelor's degree required

Preferred Experience:

  • 5 years' of relevant fundraising experience and/or community board leadership 
  • Experience with Raiser's Edge or other fundraising software
