Medical Scribe

We are a podiatrist office looking to hire a Medical Scribe who is detail oriented at performing all job functions as required in support of a busy practice. The Medical Scribe will work closely with physicians to accurately document patient interactions and assist with medical charting. This Medical Scribe will work specifically with a podiatric surgeons. These surgeons are extremely busy and requires an individual who can provide accurate and thorough documentation at an extremely rapid pace.

Essential Functions:

• Accompany physician into the patient examination room in order to transcribe a history and physical exam, and document accurately the physician’s encounter with the patient and others present.

• List all proper diagnoses and symptoms as well as follow up instructions and prescriptions as dictated by the physician.
• Transcribe patient orders including laboratory tests, radiology tests, medications, etc.
• Document any procedures performed by the physician.
• Maintain professional appearance and conduct at all times.
• Adhere to employer work practices.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with physicians, staff and managements.
• Effectively cope with typical job stress.
• Document work processes as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For:

• Experience: At least 2+ year in medical office experience preferred. At least 1+ year of Medical Scribe experience preferred.
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent (Preferred). 
• License/Certification: BLS Certification (Preferred). Certified Medical Assistant (Preferred).
• Personality Traits: A cheerful, empathetic demeanor with an unwavering commitment to providing the best patient experience.
• Skills: Skilled in computer based word-processing (Microsoft Office), administrative writing skills, record-keeping, typing, verbal communication.
• Teamwork: Ability to flourish independently or collaboratively within a team.
• Confidentiality: A firm understanding and commitment to maintaining the confidentiality of patient records.
